ginny42211@yahoo.comwww.lbl200.comSeptember 11&12 marks the 24th annual Land Between the Lakes 200. The event, which is the longest running Dual Sport in the U.S., was started in 1987, when Roger Ansel of the AMA came up with the idea for the named Trail Ride Series. This event is held each September in the beautiful Land Between the Lakes National Recreation area. LBL is 170,000 acres of land between Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake. The area is about 8 miles wide and 55 miles long, and the Dual Sport Ride will cover around 200 miles of hiking trails, dirt and gravel roads, with some blacktop also. This year, our headquarters, start, and finish will be at Piney Campgrounds in the southernmost part of LBL. This is the same location as our 2009 ride.
